Data files that are retrieved from remote survey systems (eg, GALEX, 2MASS, SDSS) are saved in cache directories on the SkyView systems so they are locally available for subsequent queries. Thus the new GALEX cache will be rebuilt over time as users generate images from the various regions of the sky. Certainly files for popular regions will be available from our caches sooner.

I was wondering whether the galaxy evolution explorer surveys had been updated. How long will the data files cache take to be rebuilt? I will head over to the space telescope science institute Galex page and see if I can find the answer there.
